Description
What we have here is:
2"x3" PHOTOGRAPH of sock puppet, JOSS WHEDON, of The (ongoing) Celebrity Series, framed, with signed ID tag on reverse, which also includes online information and biography. Available in a gold baroque or distressed wood frame (please choose from the drop-down menu).
ABOUT SOCK PUPPET JOSS WHEDON:
Firefly. Buffy. Dr. Horrible. Sock Puppet Joss Whedon makes the best shows on sock puppet tee vee (and internet tee vee). And now he makes the best super-hero (and meta-horror) movies, too. But there’s more than just great stories behind this mighty man. There is some sort of preternatural ability to really get us to care about the characters and worlds he crafts. How does he do it? We suspect a deal was struck with an elder god. Or a freed leprechaun.
Sock Puppet Joss Whedon is exactly like human Joss Whedon in every single way, except for his basement full of macaroni sculptures of major American inventors. Where does he find the time?
Marty’s Sock Puppet Portraits are framed photographs of original sock puppets that artist Marty Allen creates. They each have a name, a personality, a bevy of social disorders, a Facebook Group and quiz, olde school myspace profiles, a soap opera, and many are oddly associated with Marty and several other humans in the Brooklyn-based band, Uncle Monsterface.
Each piece is created by Marty in his studio in Brooklyn, from building the puppet to photographing it to printing it and on to to framing it and then sticking the little tag on the back and signing it. All the photos are printed with archival-quality ink on archival-quality photo paper.
